I Honor the Divine in Every Person

"The practice of forgiveness is our most important contribution to the healing of the world." Marianne Williamson

Infinite Goodness is one Presence, expressing Itself as countless different forms — a single Source, everywhere entire. This Presence is God, the same Perfection active in everything that exists.

I know this same Perfection lives as my own identity, closer than any thought I have about myself, God’s own nature, held equally and directly as my own. I am this divine Perfection in personal form, Its direct activity here and now.

I recognize this same Perfection expressing as every person I meet, regardless of what they say or do. Their actions and their divine identity are two different things, and I choose to honor their unique divinity every time. If another person’s behavior troubles me, I remember that what touches one of us moves through all of us. As I know, we are that connected. Therefore, I forgive freely: I forgive the one who may have caused an offense, and I forgive myself for whatever offense I may have caused in return. I affirm forgiveness mends what looked broken and grows what is already whole between us. I release resentment and choose kindness and understanding in its place, practiced deliberately, for both of us.

I am grateful for the knowing that forgiveness itself is the givingness of God. I give thanks for the practice that restores understanding between myself and others.

I release this truth into the causative field of the Divine, knowing it is so. And so it is!
