Living in Divine Mystery

“There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind, you are the one who hears it.” Michael A. Singer

Life is remarkably exciting when we stop expecting that every answer arrive before the next inspired step is taken. The infinite intelligence of God is continuously expressing Itself as the boundless wisdom always present within every individual. Dr. Ernest Holmes wrote, We should learn to trust the Universe. There is an Intelligence back of everything.” This realization frees us from believing life must unfold according to a carefully color-coded schedule. Honestly, if most people had written the blueprint for their own lives twenty years ago, they’d probably still be arguing with the GPS because Divine Intelligence was already expressing a far more expansive possibility from within their own being. Sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t watching life unfold exactly as we planned. It is awakening to a greater realization of the Divine unfolding as us.

Author Michael A. Singer reminds us, “There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind, you are the one who hears it.” This truth invites us to loosen our need to mentally manage every outcome and become available to the Divine Wisdom expressing as our own consciousness. Rainer Maria Rilke offered a similar invitation when he wrote, “Live the questions now. Divine Mystery is not something outside ourselves withholding answers. It is the boundless creative and joyful essence of God continually revealing more of Itself through the individualized expression of our own being. Every unanswered question becomes another opportunity to discover more of the endless wisdom present within our Oneness with Source.

The greatest awareness of creative freedom comes when we realize we are the individualized expression of the very love, joy and wisdom we have been seeking all along. Every experience becomes another opportunity for the ever-expanding essence of God to reveal more of Itself as our wisdom, creativity and joy. Tomorrow no longer needs to be feared or controlled because the same omnipotent Presence expressing in this moment is already expressing the next one. We don’t walk toward God hoping to discover something greater. We walk as the individualized expression of God, continually awakening to more of the Infinite already thriving as us. That is an adventure that never grows old.
