The prayers of The Affirmative Knowing follow the five-step practice of Spiritual Mind Treatment as taught by Dr. Ernest Holmes. Each prayer is a conscious movement of awareness, guiding the reader from recognizing the omnipotent power of God to fully embodying God’s expression in, as and through their life. Rather than asking for change, these prayers affirm what is already true, aligning thought with spiritual law and allowing transformation to unfold naturally and powerfully.
Recognition
This step acknowledges the presence of one infinite Divine Source, the creative intelligence that is the origin of all life. It establishes that there is only One Power, One Presence, and One Mind.
Unification
Here, we declare our oneness with that Divine Source. We affirm that we are not separate from it, but individualized expressions of the same creative power.
Realization (Affirmation)
In this step, we state the desired truth as already complete. We affirm conditions such as peace, abundance, health, or clarity as present realities, not future possibilities.
Gratitude
We give thanks for the fulfillment of what has already been affirmed. Gratitude deepens acceptance and aligns us emotionally with the truth we have declared.
Release
Finally, we let go of the outcome, trusting the Law to act. We release the prayer into the creative medium, knowing it is done, and allow it to manifest in perfect and natural ways.
